The Domino Story
(for all the people that wanted to know what happened to Domino)
I woke up on the beach. I looked all around and saw nobody. I glanced at myself. I was pretty banged up and my scythe was destroyed, but other than that, I was OK. I had just seen the front and back of coral crushers at the same time. I soon forgot that when I saw that everyone was gone. I only thought of revenge against Manuel Calavera. He'll pay.
My faithful pet octopus that operated my old, ruined submarine swam up to me on the beach. I had him follow me to the submarine garage. We selected a new submarine and left the island. Manny would be taking Meche to the Ninth Underworld, but Hector and I both knew their tickets were in Nuevo Marrow, so I headed there. I lost track of how long we traveled, but I arrived at
Nuevo Marrow late at night. I was shocked to see the city in blackness. I walked into town and heard two ladies talking. Listening in to their conversation, I discovered that Hector was dead. By who? Manny himself. he had beat me here and was probably at the 9th Underworld. I set the submarine to high speed and made it there in a few months. I arrived at the gate and talked to the gatekeeper. Manny and all his friends were in the Land of Eternal Rest!
When the gatekeeper wasn't looking, I snuck in and looked all around. There were 2 tunnels. One had the words "9th Underworld" engraved in a gold plaque beside the tunnel. The other tunnel had a "6th Underworld" sign scribbled with a pen on a piece of paper taped beside the tunnel. 6th Underworld? Might as well check it out. I walked into the black tunnel and heard a slam behind me. I turned around. The opening of the tunnel was
gone!
"Domino?" A voice said behind me.
"Who's there?" I asked. I took a closer look at the shadow. It was pretty fat.
"Domino, it's me. Hector!" he said.
"Hector? Wow! What is this place?" I wondered.
"This is were people go when they've been sprouted. Or when curious people walk through that tunnel opening." Hector explained.
"But if you haven't been sprouted, you can leave, right?" I asked
nervously.
"I'm afraid not Domino. You're stuck here forever. Or, at least until the writers make a Grim Fandango 2!!!!!!!!" :)
