The Start of the LSA

“Ha, ha! Another elite client.” Said Manny as he typed in the commands on his computer to bring up his client’s profile. “Okay Miss Canseco it looks like you have a ticket on the number nine. Now I’ll need you to sign here, here and here.” Manny pointed to where he wanted her to sign and she did so and was off.

When Mannys newest client left he went out in the hall. He could hear the loud voice of Don Copal yelling at someone, and it sounded like it was coming from Salvador’s office. Manny had the life, good job, good car, nice office and even a secretary.

“Manny I told you I’m not your secretary now get out of here.” Eva was the new secretary in the building and she was less easy going then the last one. Eva kind of disliked Manny but that was only because of his unusually high announce level, although she seemed to hang around Salvador quite a lot.

“Oh come on baby why don’t skip town tonight, you and me.”

“Manny you know that isn’t allowed and besides I wouldn’t be caught dead with you.”

“But we are dead.”

“You know what I mean!”

Just then Don Copal, the big boss around the DOD, came bouncing down the hall in a bad mood.

“Hola Donny!”

“Shut up Calavera as if my day isn’t bad enough I have to bump into you.”

“Sheesh what's wrong?”

“I just had to fire somebody and now my Brother just died so I have to give him a job here! Oh yeah by the way Manny pack your stuff your moving into the janitors closet.”

“What? What has given you this sudden urge to move me into the janitor’s closet? And where is the janitor going to stay? I mean I wouldn’t want to impose or anything.”

“Calavera I am warning you, move out of the office or move out of the building!” Don slammed the door to his office and then Eva spoke up.

“Looks like we won’t be skipping town tonight Manny, you have a lot of packing to do.” Before Manny could think of a good comeback Salvador Limonez came walking down the hall carrying a box of his belongings.

“Hey Sal tough break, if you makes you feel any better I have to work in the janitors closet now.”

“No Manuel that does not, but I hope you realize the injustices of this place and quit.”

“What's that Sal? You always mumble when you talk and being that I have no ears it doesn’t help.”  Suddenly Don poked his head out of his office door.

“LIMONEZ! Get your ass out of my building or you’ll die… AGAIN!” Don slammed the door again, if anything was taking a lot of abuse it was the door.

"Farewell Eva, and farewell Manuel.”
