It all started on Melee Island at my small store, Stan's Previously Owned Vessels. As I was busy cleaning out the ships, I saw a young, blond-haired, blue-eyed pirate-wannabe. He quickly approached me and said, "I'm Guybrush Threepwood, mighty pirate!"  

At that instant I knew this was going to be an easy sale. "Hi! Welcome to Stan's Previously Owned Vessels! Where I stand on my head to make you a deal!"   

He pointed to a large ship, the Sea Monkey, which was an extremely poor ship. "I'll take it." he said.  

"Ahhh, the Sea Monkey.....that one." Then it was time to start making sleazy lies to get him to pay more. "Yes, the Sea Monkey...The only ship to make it to Monkey Island and back with a crew."  

"Really?" he said. "Who was the captain?"  

"Well, uh.... um, he.., a monkey." I then knew he didn't have much money because I took a glance at his pocket and all I saw was a hunk of meat, yellow petals, and...YES!!! a check from the shopkeeper. "So uh... Mr. Brush, how 'bout that nice big check you got there?" "O.K.!!!" and then he sailed off with his new ship.  

Soon after that I moved to Booty Island looking for a new job and set up Stan's Previously Owned Coffins. Business was going great, just great one day and in walked a mangy, blue-coated, bearded pirate with a lot of money. He walked up to me and just as I was about to make him a deal, he just looked at me and said, "I'm Guybrush Threepwood, mighty pirate." It was him!   

"So uh...Mr. Brush can I interest you in a deal?"  

"Well, yes actually, would ye mind showing me that one over there?"  

I climbed into the coffin and started saying, "What nice leg room and cozy warmth and...mrpphhhgpphhhgggmmnm!" he nailed me in. "Hello?...anyone?.....hey, I'm stuck!.....hey, let me out!..... actually it's not THAT bad...it's quite a nice little coffin...."  

Well, that sure gave me time to think about my next job. I thought about Stan's Previously Owned Pets and Stan's Previously Owned Hobby Shop and Stan's Previously Owned Hospitals, and then I found the right one, Mutual Of Stan. I even had time to make some business cards.   

When I finally got let out, I was on Blood Island and guess who let me out? Guybrush Threepwood.
